Integration with JROX Affiliate Manager
« on: October 10, 2008, 08:21:52 am »
I'm trying to integrate LMP with JROX Affiliate Manager. They say it is easy. There is even a module within the program that is supposed to do it, but so far no go.

It asks for a "Subscribe URL". Is that:

@webshaman

Hey Brett,

No answers. The response from JROX was unhelpful and confusing. I tried integrating with ListMailPro and with another program I have using the "custom integration. Followed the steps very carefully and no go.

For the time being I've decided to use the autoresponder built into JROX.

I believe the "subscribe URL" is the one I mentioned in my first post. If I understand it correctly, it is the URL of the php file that contains the code that does the subscribing. I believe that is "subscribe.php" in the case of LMP.

What was their reply, copy/paste it here, so I can see it - it might make sense to me, been using LMP for years.
Thanks,

Brett,

This is the extent of their response:

you need to edit the custom autoresponder file directly:
http://jam.jrox.com/docs/index.php?article=64

The article describes how to manually change settings, which I assume are otherwised auto-changed by the LMP module. So I asked why I have to change them manually if there is an LMP module?

No response.

Login to JAM Affiliate Manager as Admin

Click Settings

Click On SignUp Setting

At the bottom of the page is the image "ListMail"  Click on it.

Up comes a small box:

Enable Status
Place a Description
Now Put You Subscribe URL:  Mine is:   http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/mail/signup.php
Send First Name:  Yes
Send Last Name:  Yes
In the Mail List ID:  Mine is 3, which is my third list of numberous

Click Submit:

Now to check it out, register yourself as a new affiliate within your jrox.

Let me know if this helps

@edwpro

Thanks Greg. As I said above, I did all this and it did not work. Have you actually gotten it to work?

Just tested it again, using the same settings I had previously entered - I had just disabled them - and for some odd reason it started to work. Here's hoping it continues to work...

ListMailPro and JROX really work wonderfully together.  And I'm glad you now have one less problem, next.
