Title: Problem setting LMinsert.pl or LMinsert.php
Post by: gmichel on January 29, 2005, 12:24:14 am
Hello,

I have been trying a long time ago to use LMinsert and gave up. As I really want this feature to work I am trying again.

After reading all posts about the topic in this forum and a lot of trying again, I am lost...

Something is not clear to me in the documentation. I just want to have the email & name of the people using the forms on different domains to be entered in different lists #10, #11, etc...

Sounds easy!

If there is somebody who can help I would appreciate.

Thank you.

Michel

Are all of your domains on the same web host / same server?  If not, LMinsert.php will likely not be able to connect to your ListMail MySQL database.  Usually, remote access to MySQL is disabled.

Hello,

I am trying now to do it on the same domain for a start.
ListMail is in www.reperages-thailand.com/listmail/ and the form I want to insert LMinsert is in a subdomain: www.travel.reperages-thailand.com/sendmail/

I think the problem is my no-understanding rather than a server problem. I have another domain, on the same server - same IP, I want to link to Listmail. With another php script I have I am able to connect to MySQL databases located on other domains; remote access is possible.

When testing I get the error pointing on line 42 which is the path:

// You -must- set the path to the ListMail files below
// -NO- trailing slash.  "." is current directory ".." is up one

I tried different options there without success.

Thanks for your help.
