Title: Filter email addresses for illegal characters.
Post by: weathers on February 12, 2005, 01:55:10 am
I just got one with a comma in it that brought  a mailing to a halt.

It would be nice if when it found illegal characters it just removed them, tried to use the remaining characters as a legit address and notified the admin of the problem. Then the worst you get is a bounce. :)

ListMail should not allow a comma through.  Are you using a custom or 3rd party script to enter your users into the database?   If so, it is up to this script to do the checking.
