hi,
can list mail pro track open rates of emails sent out in text format?
it would be really useful to know how many of my subscribers are actually opening and reading my emails.
and secondly is there a way of tracking conversation rate. I know you can do it with getresponse.
here is what i would like to do:
Send an email in text format with a tracking link.
then when the link is clicked from the email, and the user come on my site and place an order to be able to put some form of codes on the thank you page that is written in LMP
that way i will know how many of my emails are converting into sales
thanks

Hi sanj,
Open-rate "how many users read this message" tracking is unfortunately not possible in text email.
Simple link tracking is currently available in LMP, but there is not (yet) the ability to track conversions. I do have experience with cookies required to accomplish this, though, and agree it would be a great addition to LMP. I will forward this to the suggestions forum so I don't forget to consider it for future updates. This may also be possible with some custom PHP script, but you'd have to be a programmer for that. :D

Easy, you use a tracking program and place a 1 pixel image in the beginning of the html message, when it's opened, it counts how many have seen that image.
Try an ad tracking program for that, I use AdTrackz, http://www.adtrackz.com
Good luck,

sanj,
You can also track opened emails using a free custom add-on script available in this forum, here (http://listmailpro.com/forum/index.php?topic=7.0).

With SMTP you can enable the SMTP log to verify that your messages are accepted by the server. Bounces several days later are normal, as most hosts will keep retrying failed messages for a similar amount of time before finally returning it as a bounce.
