Title: 2nd follow series to same list
Post by: lynda.kane on October 12, 2006, 08:20:42 am
I want to start a new series of follow-ups to one of my lists. How/where do I create/save/execute a second series of emails to the same list that already has a follow-up series running?

Thanks

Lynda

Hi Lynda,

What you can do is click on "Followups", "Saved Sets", then "New".  This will create a set of followups independent of your lists' followups.  When you're done creating your series, browse to the list-you-want-to-apply-them-to's followups page and at the bottom right choose the set (you named and saved) and click "Load".  This will replace (delete!) all existing followups on the list and replace them with the new ones.

There's also a new option on the List Settings page that may be of use.  It loads a saved set of followups based on the percentage of users at the end of sequence.

When 95%  of users are at end of sequence reset users and load saved set

For these features you'll need to be on a more recent version of ListMail, if not the latest.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance or if you have something else in mind.

Regards

Thanks Dean,

So I can't send two series of followups to the same list at the same time (a weekly one and a monthly one)?  Oops :(

Can I duplicate the list and send a new series to the same list that way?

BTW - my sendmail now does 100 at a time without stopping instead of 15, so thanks for whatever you tweaked! :)

Regards,

Lynda

At this time, no.  In the next update you will, however, be able to easily copy an entire list's users to another list so you can run two lists/sequences in parallel.  If you want to try this early email me at dean@listmailpro.com

This is essentially what you need to do, yes, but it's not supported by the most recent files available - it's in testing although a very late stage of it. :)
