Title: Adding new messages to an existing list
Post by: john193 on April 20, 2007, 10:56:55 am
Hi Dean,

I initially setup a bunch of lists on my server and now I'm moving to the next phase which is segmenting the interests of my groups into various lists.

I've created a new opt-in form to be used with some of the existing lists that I've already created.

Now here's where I'm stumped. I then went to that list and created my 1st message to be sent to that list. But when I goto the list and signup. ListMailPro is not sending the 1st message from what I can tell immediately which is what I expected.

So what am I missing Dean ? How can I create a message which would be SENT to the inbox immediately after signing up to the list ?

Thanks

Christopher

Christopher,

If enabled, the "Confirmation" and, if enabled, "Welcome" messages are sent instantly upon subscription.  Whether the message makes it to you is another story - your server could be experiencing temporary heavy mail load, slow delivery, etc, in which case your message could arrive several minutes or even hours later.

The first followup message, if configured with a delay of 0, would be sent the first time the scheduled "Dailymail" task runs, which can be 1 minute to 23:59 minutes after subscription.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Regards
