Title: allow a user to edit/add info to their listing in the db?

Say your ListMail database has names and email addresses in it. Now you've added another custom field, like "state". Is there a way to gather the states from the users that are already in the database? Is there a way to add a field in a form so that a user can edit/add info to their info in the database?
