Hi,
Best advice is to go step by step through the install files in the help, here on site.
You don't install it on your PC but upload to a server. It isn't for running on a local computer.
I managed to install it all with those notes and only a couple of hitches where I was not sure.
If you run into any special problems, search this forum and someone has probably asked before about it.
If anything just doesn't work out for you post the particular problem in here and someone is sure to answer it.
Good Luck and enjoy.

Hi Rudy,

Thanks for becoming an owner.  Indeed, as Trevor mentioned, you should not install ListMail on your home computer.  While it *is* possible, it's more for developers.  Furthermore, sending email through your internet provider's SMTP (outgoing mail) server is generally not allowed, so you would need a domain name ($2.99/yr (http://domains.aplus.net/)) and a commercial web host ($7.95/mo (http://listmailpro.com/dreamhost)) which comes with SMTP service.

Having a domain and a host gives you the benefit of sending professional-looking email.  For instance emails can come from "Your Newsletter" <news@yourcompany.com>.  When you have a hosted domain/site you can also, of course, set up your own email accounts @yourcompany.com for use in Outlook, etc. which makes your personal contact that much more professional.

So my question for you is this: Are you ready to set up your own web site? :-)

Regards

Thank you for the quick replies, I do have a few websites-- I am a novice- just a guy who purchased his websites from Networksolutions.com - I was able to set those up, I will work through the instructions and see if I can figure it out.

Rudy,

I'm here to help with whatever I can.

I have a few questions:

Is your site hosted by NetworkSolutions?

Does your host give you advanced features such as PHP & MySQL and email address setup/management required by ListMail? (http://listmailpro.com/help/requirements.html)

How many emails do you expect to be sending?

Would you be willing to switch hosts, if required?

Regards
