Title: delete batches of email addresses?
Post by: bookup on September 13, 2007, 01:43:45 pm
Each day I get a batch of email addresses from folks who have purchased our products.  They need to be removed from one list, and optionally placed in another list.  How can I do this?

Greetings,

It sounds like you need a small custom script tailored to your input.  How do you receive your addresses and what format do they come in? CSV?  Can you give me an example of a line from the input and the conditions for addition / removal?

Title: I found an easy way to bulk remove from LMP lists

Hi,

I found a really easy way to do this without creating an additional script.

#1: In LMP create a 'new list' called "Customers"

#2: Under "Additional Operations" when setting up the new list make sure you check the box that says "When users are added to this list remove them from the following list(s): " - then enter the 'list#' you want them removed from in the box.

#3: After saving your new list "Customers" just bulk upload your new customers emails and other fields using the "Import Users function"

#4: After uploading the email addresses, names, etc... they will be automatically removed from your 'prospects' list in bulk!

I've used it and it works for me...

Hope that helps,

-Dave

A very helpful post! If he only "optionally" wants to place users on another list, however, it gets more difficult.

bookup, please let us know where you're at with this considering Dave's addition.
