I have in my list #1 what appears to be a duplicate record.
chessnut23@hotmail.com appears twice with idential fields.
How does that happen?

Are you using the 'Additional Operations' feature on the 'List Settings' page? Perhaps it does not properly check for duplicates. I will try to investigate this later on today - I've got a few sever setups and migrations to take care of first.
