Title: Error message when importing users
Post by: mari on February 02, 2005, 01:47:39 am
I have tried both methods of importing users from a CSV file.

This is the error message I get when attempting to upload from my hard drive:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 590 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid 0 in /home/virtual/site32/fst/var/www/html/database/ListMailPro/edituser.php on line 402
Could not move file.

And when I FTP'd the same file into the LMP main directory and typed in the second field instead, it just kept saying "File not found".

I searched for a similar error message on this board and am still drawing a blank.  Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mari

Mari,

It seems that your server has a restriction on the /tmp directory where we upload files.

Another user reported a similar problem.  They were able to successfully import their list by adding ./ to the front of the FTP-uploaded manually-entered filename to tell the server to look in the "current" (ListMail) directory.  Give it a try and let me know.

Regards!
