Follow up email stopped working suddenly after having succesfully tested for a long time. Initial confirmation email for signup received ok when confirmed nothing happens. Might have been caused by automatic daily listmail maintenance running just as mail was sent by the system. (corrupted .php file or db is my guess). Checked everything can't identify problem.
I use two email addresses cyprusnies@yahoo.co.uk and cyprus.niels@gmail.com for testing and have just noticed that after having deleted the user in the database and retest with cyprusniels@yahoo.co.uk cyprusniels@gmail.com without the "." appears in the database and when I use cyprus.niels@gmail.com it appears as cyprusniels@gmail.com without the "." which is obviously an invalid gmail account. Is it a corrupt database?
Please advise action/request further info.
