Title: Follow up sent immediately but I have set a delay!
Post by: shawry on April 22, 2008, 02:10:25 am
Hi,

I imported a set of trade show contacts and set up a follow up sequence of 12 messages, the first to go out in 60 days time. The first message in the sequence was sent last night so the delay setting does not appear to work.  :(

regards,

Phil

Do you have to set a value in the cron field as well as the delay field?

Phil, for your situation the first followup should have a delay of 59.  Is this what you have set?

Dean,

Delay was actually set to 60 as I just wanted it to go in approx 2 months time. The next message #2 in the sequence has a delay set to 30 and it will be interesting to see if this goes tonight or whether the delay actually works.

This is a live list of good contacts and I really do not want to annoy them by bombarding them with messages everyday when they are meant to be sent periodically over the summer.

cheers,

Phil

Follow up message was not sent last night so hopefully this is working now but I still don't understand why the first message in the sequence was sent when the delay was set to 60.
