Title: Installation - No email aliases / forwarding

I want to sign up for you to carry out the installation option but when I asked my host the questions relevant to being able to use listmailpro this was their reply

Our servers run Linux with PHP and MySQL support. You do have access to send email via one of our SMTP servers and setup a scheduled task from the web tools menu in your eXtend control panel. However the SMTP server is on a separate server to your website so email alias or forwarding files to pipe email to scripts would not work and you would need to discuss the implications of this.

Is it still possible to install on my website?

Hi Marianne,

Yes, you can still install ListMail.  Email forwarding to script is entirely optional but is required for signup-by-email and on-the-fly bounce processing. Details (http://www.listmailpro.com/help/cgi.html)

Signup-by-email is not required - most of my users prefer to use a standard signup form for accepting subscribers.  (List Settings -> Signup Code)

There is an alternative bounce-handling method that utilizes a standard mailbox which is processed daily. Details (http://www.listmailpro.com/help/bounce_mailbox.html)
