When testing a signup script with a valid email address ( that may be in the existing list user database table) this message is returned to the user. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?? The email address IS in a valid format.

There was an error in previous versions where the wrong error message was being shown in case of duplicates - please update to the most recent available release to fix the problem.

Thanks Dean for your reply. I have upgraded prior to this happening. It seems to be happening when a person is already on the list.

There was a bug addressing this specifically but I can't recall which version it was fixed in and can't seem to find it in the changes (http://listmailpro.com/changes.php) file.
The fix should have repaired your installation - that is, it should have replaced the incorrect error message(s) with the correct one. What was happening, specifically, was the program was showing the "invalid email" error message instead of the "duplicate" error message. I recommend that you check your "Error Messages" page(s) to make sure all of the messages are in the right place.
From what you say you are now upgraded to v1.87d, the latest available - is that correct?
