Title: mailing stopped

I am trying to send out my monthly newsletter as usual. The first 3500 or so went out fine, but now I get the following error message:

Connecting to SMTP server... Connected!
Failed.

Check your SMTP settings!
Your message has been saved for later.
 
The settings look fine (and have not been changed.) When I hit "resume," I get the same message. What can I do to complete this mailing?

Any ideas?

Try enabling "Always write SMTP log" on the Config page.  The resulting log could tell us more about what is going on.
