Hi, I received and email from someone that was trying to sign up for my newsletter list and I tried to manually add their email address and name to my list. But when I check the user database for their name after I add it it says it is not there. What could I be doing wrong? --Joni
PS I so sometimes get two emails that say the same name of someone signing up for my list. Why two emails?

Do you have confirmation enabled when manually adding the user? If so, they will show up under "Unconfirmed" instead of "Active" status users. There is a dropdown at the top of the User Database page to change the status to view.
You may receive multiple notification emails if a user clicks the confirmation link twice, or if they refresh the "subscribe success" page. This is a known issue which I will hopefully be resolving soon.
