Title: Selecting users ON list, but EXCLUDING those ON another list
Post by: debbuxton on August 21, 2007, 09:11:49 pm
I want to do a selection of users on a main list, but leave out those that are on two other lists.

I seen Dean's other post about this, but getting MYSQL error as it may have been for an earlier mysql version. I am running 5.0.24. I am not great on MYSQL queries.

Any help greatly appreciated. Client says this is a deal breaker as she really wants to be able to do this with ListMail otherwise I have to start looking for another option after 5+years with Listmail --- I DON'T want to move to something else. :-)

Thanks in advance,
deb

Hi Deb,

Can you tell me more about the query you tried and the error?

Here's my post about sending to users on one list who are not on another:

That code copied exactly and modified to contain your desired list(s) should work for MySQL 4.1+

Dean,

First off thanks for taking a look at this. I am a big fan of ListMailPro and you and have been for years. :-)

I just realized that you meant that code to be used under "custom query" in the User Selection. I was trying to do it within my phpMyAdmin.

I am so sorry it worked perfectly once I did it within ListmailPro.

I am now going to go crawl back in my hole of embarassment.

Looking forward to the new edition!
