Title: Sending email stalled

It's Victoria again.
I know I've got to change my hosting service, but that is too painful to think about right now.

Just tried to send a message to 7 lists and the 7th one failed.
Got the following message:

Connecting to SMTP server...  Warning: fsockopen(): php_hostconnect: connect failed in /usr/local/pem/vhosts/17325/webspace/httpdocs/mail/admin.php on line 945  Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:25 in /usr/local/pem/vhosts/17325/webspace/httpdocs/mail/admin.php on line 945 Server not found!
Failed.

Check your SMTP settings!

Can you tell me how I can get this fixed?

It seems that the SMTP server stopped accepting your connections to it.  This is likely a temporary issue.  If it continues I recommend talking to your web host about the possibility that the service is down or you have reached some limit on connections or number of emails sent.
