Title: smtp configuration

I am now getting this error message after listmail has been installed and has been running well.

Connecting to SMTP server...
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:25 in /home/excelle1/public_html/mailpro/admin.php on line 953
Server not found!
Failed.

What is the cause of this??

I went into the config files and changed the settings  on smtp from localhost to mail.excellentevents.co.nz  but it still says that the settings config is wrong.

I have changed the settings on the smtp server to those provided by the hosting service
and it tests well with success messages
however when I go to send mail off  al ist I get this message:

Sending error. Check your mail settings. it is connecting to the server but not sending

update
seem to have fixed it
Changed the settings so that it authorises the sending and it appears to be working.
trial an error and trial!!
