Title: Splitting large lists

How can I split a large imported list into two or three smaller selections.

The user selection tool only allows to select on date added.  When I imported my list the date added column reads 0000-00-00 on all imported leads.

Can I create a user selection based on the id of the user?

Like  userid <= 5000  and userid > 5000
