Title: Testing Mail SMTP error code question...
Post by: don1 on October 12, 2005, 03:29:12 pm
Hi Dean,

I just started receiving a new error today which has halted all of my emails.  I have been using ListMailPro for years without this problem.

Quote
[SMTP Server]
Is enabled? Yes
Connecting to SMTP server.. Connected!
Could not say EHLO.

The SMTP server is not configured correctly. Check your settings.

I searched the forum and found one post but it was not much help:
http://listmailpro.com/forum/index.php?topic=191.0

Now my Dailymail is stuck "in the outgoing queue."

I can send a "preview" email from the "Send an Email" page...but that even seems to take longer than usual..but it does get sent. But I cannot send an instant email to a list from the "Send an Email" page...I just get the same error.

Can you explain what may be causing this error?  Why would this suddenly happen today?  Where do I look to correct the problem?

Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Don

Dean,

I have tried sending email a few more times thinking it might be a temporary problem with my host...now I received a new error:

Quote
Please wait while email is queued to send... Done!

Connecting to SMTP server... Connected!
Failed.

Check your SMTP settings!
Your message has been saved for later.

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /www/d/mydomain/htdocs/mail/admin.php on line 1061

any ideas??

Dean,

Since I thought my problem was due to my host...I kept trying to send emails through ListMailPro...well it just started working :D so there was never a problem with my setup, it was a problem with the host.

Well I am glad that's over... I just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for everything,

Don
