Title: using bold, underline and hyperlinking a text message
Post by: lajre on June 09, 2004, 06:16:28 pm
Is there a way to bold, underline and create a hyperlink (w/out having to type in the entire URL) in a text message.  It would be nice to have a quick way to do this.

I suppose I have to create an HTML and a text message if I want to do this?

Unfortunately, there is no way for you to use bold, underline, or hyperlinks in text messages.  You would have to create a message containing both text and HTML.  If you only want to create one copy of your message you could create the HTML version and then use the new message code "Link to HTML" in the body of your text copy.

Dean,

I am on version 177b but I don't see the "link to html" message code. This is a very cool feature that I would like to use. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Dan

Try grabbing the latest files from the member area.  It should be in there.

Title: Question About Upgrading
Post by: sydney3 on February 09, 2005, 11:24:02 pm
Hi Dean,

I also cannot see the "Link to HTML" message code, so I have just downloaded the latest version as you recommend.

I just want to confirm, if I copy all the files over the old ones as suggested in the "Install and Upgrade.txt" file, I won't need to redo all my custom html list settings etc will I?

Thanks Dean,
Matt.

Matt, that's correct.  All of your settings, including Custom HTML are stored in MySQL.  Overwriting the files will not affect your data.
