Title: When added to multiple lists, are all welcome emails sent?
Post by: carlyn on April 01, 2008, 11:19:58 am
I'm new to LMP and have just a basic functionality question...

I have several lists tied together; some are for the purpose of follow-ups, some just for scheduled emails.

Let's say I have List 1 with this setting:

"When users are added to this list also add them to the following list(s): 2,3,4"

I know (from testing) that the user will receive the confirmation/welcome letter for List 1.  Two questions:

1) Will they also receive confirmation/welcome letters from lists 2,3,4?

2) Will they begin the follow-up sequences of 2,3,4? or are they just added to the end of the sequence?

Thanks for any guidance.

Greetings,

ListMail will take into account the confirmation and/or welcome messages for each list and send them if applicable.  Users are started at the beginning of the followup sequence for each list.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Regards

So, just to clarify...

If I have this setup:

Lists 1, 2, 3 - each of which uses a confirmation and welcome email

Operation on List 1: When user subscribes to List 1, also subscribe to Lists 2 and 3

If a user subscribes to List 1, does this mean he'll be receiving three confirmation emails? (from lists 1,2,3)

Yes, that should be correct and should be verifiable with a simple test signup.
