Title: Will ListMailPro work with GoDaddy.com linux hosting?
Post by: naturedoc on October 04, 2004, 04:53:37 pm
Is anyone using ListmailPro with GoDaddy hosting? I urgently need to switch hosts and am considering them. The one drawback that I see is that I cannot set cron jobs. But *I think* there is a workaround for that.

Is there? (Actually, I'll ask that under a different subject heading.)

Anyone have good experiences with ListMailPro and GoDaddy hosting?

Best,
kwc

Ken,

I don't know whether or not GoDaddy supports ListMail.  I recommend that you write them a message containing a link or copy/paste of my system requirements page, at http://www.listmailpro.com/help/13.html
Title: What about Cron workaround?

Hi Dean:

I did go over the requirements with them. The only one they do not meet is Cron. I do not have cron access. So my question remains--is there an easy workaround for this on linux hosting?

I recall reading somewhere on the ListmailPro site that it can be worked around but don't recall specifics.

So my question is: If I don't have Cron access, can I make ListMailpro work?

Thanks,
kwc

AFTER POSTING THIS, I found that you responded to this question elsewhere. Thanks. I will study that response. FTR, from the initial reading, it appears that is IS possible to fake the Cron job when not allowed Cron access.
