[Bug] Subscribing to multiple lists
« on: April 06, 2006, 06:55:12 pm »
I know I've seen this covered in the forum before. But I can locate it now that I need it.

How do I allow a person to subscribe to multiple lists with a single subscription? Perferably using checkboxes.

Thanks, Lee

I was finally able to locate my own answer. And I receive multiple confirmation email messages. But after I confirm the first, I receive this error message.

That email address is already subscribed to this list!

How do I allow the same email address in multiple lists?

Thanks, Lee

I'm sorry, the phpBB search quite frankly sucks.  I will see if I can hack in a vBulletin-esque (higher quality results) search function.

I have tested and verified your report in the most recent ListMail files.  It seems both confirmations are coming with the same UID, which might not be right depending on what features (or bugs) I've added recently. :)

I'm having trouble recreating this.  With further tests I'm getting different UIDs/confirm links for each user.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to look into this further in the morning.  I apologize for the delay - I was very busy today.

I don't think so - I've never had any problems searching up here, it works just fine for me - so don't consider changing it to something one (or 2 or 3) people will want when 100 people like it the way it is!

Consider asking a poll question first, I like this BB just fine.

Now that seems a pain - yucko... hope you get that figured out...
Thanks,

If this helps here's the URL to the form I'm working on to all signing up for multiple newsletters.

You should still have the usernames & passwords from the install.

Lee,

I apologize for the delay.  Please be assured your request has been a high priority.  This seemed to be a possible bug but one I couldn't reproduce in my latest files.  I have now gone ahead and re-written the signup process and more for the next update - I doubt it will be a problem with the new files.  I hope to have them ready for release within 1 week.  Please contact me by email if you need them sooner.

A list of my recent work can be viewed here.

Brett, you'll be happy to know I've done some brainstorming on improvements to link tracking.  I'll try to find a recent thread to continue discussion on this.
