User Selection NOT & AND Issues

I want to send out an email to one list, and then a different email to all the other lists, and there are some subscribers on multiple lists.

What I'd like to do is be able to select all users, except for those on the first list. I didn't see a "not" or "except" choice.

Is there some other way to accomplis this?

I've got people on multiple lists, and I want to make sure that I don't send multiple messages to them. I know there's a "filter duplicates" function if I'm sending one great big batch to multiple lists, but if I want to send different messages to different lists, how can I avoid duplicates?

Aside from the suggestion to have "Send to list 1, except where user exists on list 2" kind of functionality, I tried finding the duplicates, but that didn't work either.

If I use the selection function to choose all users on list 1 OR all users on list 2, then I get 430, and with the duplicate checking, I might get 415. However, it doesn't work if I try to select users on list 1 AND on list 2, which returns 0 results.

How do I find these duplicates?

Thanks for your input on this.  It would appear I need to re-think how to create the rule selection query.  When I get it sorted out you will be shown results you expect when ANDing results and should be able to query based on "Not" active/unconfirmed/removed/bounced.

This is now possible with the 'Custom Query' addition to User Selection.  Some examples for what you want to do are available in the forum - let me know if you want me to find them for you.
