Preventing Spammed Porn Addresses???

Hi,

As you know, I've asked for a GLOBAL REMOVE database, or at least a global BLACKLIST...

This is going to be important, here's what I found just tonight, it appears some Spammer Porn sites will tread the web looking for subscription forms, when they find them, they load up their nasty addresses by the hundreds into your Email list, I found tons of them, Vicodin@nastydomain-fillintheblank.net, Phentermine@nastydomainfillintheblank.net, etc, etc...

What I believe we need is a way to prevent this, perhaps the best method, is to put up one of those Confirm This CODE boxes, you can see a sample script that does it (in PHP) at most scripting websites, something like what they have on Yahoo, etc... that asks to enter the confirming letters/numbers before you can subscribe....

Can this be added to LMP?  Soon?

On Sourceforge, I once saw an application that could break 95% of popular "captchas" in 2 or 3 tries at most.

It is just a matter of time before CAPTCHA is widely exploited, but it is a good preventative measure to protect against less informed spammers/attackers.

It should be fairly easy to add your own captcha to the ListMail signup form.

I found one free PHP implementation that looks to be very good and hard to break.  I'm not sure if it's your style, however.

Now that you know what you're looking for, "captcha", I'm sure you can find something free that will work for you.  If you need a hand installing it, let me know. I'll consider adding it to ListMail, too.  I'll try to find an effective one that looks good.

Hi, how about the block competitor from further receive email function?

It's something like global blacklist.

Any comment?

A blacklist or ban feature should help with most of the things mentioned here.
