Mike,

I'm interested in a similar patch for sendmail, too.  If you come up with anything please let me know.  I, not being a C programmer, also do not know how to implement this into Exim or qmail as Mihai from www.simscripts.com has done.

If anyone has specific details about how this (rotating IP sending) might be achieved with any MTA I'm definitely interested to hear it!

Just to let everyone know I asked about the qmail one and this is what I got back.

messages, this ip pool is just a text file containing one ip on each

line in that file ( in our example the receiving server will see the
message comming from 1.1.1.1 ). Then the patched qmail will move the ip

This patch works independently of the operating system or control panel
so yes it works on plesk 7 reloaded too :)
Patching qmail costs $100/server.

The problem with Mihai's approach is when upgrades to the mailer software are applied you lose the patch.

It would be much better if he would explain how it's done so it can manually be re-applied by the admin.  I tried to get him to divulge his methods to me when I purchased his Exim patch for a client - to no avail.  I guess he wants to keep his corner of the market and fears copycats.
