How do I set it up? Very confused!
« on: April 17, 2007, 02:36:58 am »
Hi,

I am not a complete computer and technical guru, so can someone help? I have no idea where to start when it comes to setting up the list mail pro. I'm starting to get worried that it may not be compatible with mt site.

Ahh, can someone help??

Greetings,

If you cannot install ListMailPRO with the online help pages at http://listmailpro.com/help please order at least a Server Analysis from http://listmailpro.com/support for direct hands-on assistance.

If you would prefer not to order tech support please post more descriptive questions relating to your individual difficulties and I will respond here, free of charge and to the best of my ability.

Hi Dean,

I started trying to set it up in the Windows. Now I have no idea where to go. I am wondering if it will be far easier for someone to do it for me.  :?

How does this work?

Thank you for your time and patience to date,

DW

ListMail cannot be installed on your home computer - while it is possible it is very difficult, more for developers, and your ISP is unlikely to allow any commercial or bulk email.

ListMail is installed on your commercial web site.  You will need a domain name (~$8/yr) and a web host (~$8-$25/mo) supportive of the amount of email you would like to send.  Hosts known to work with ListMail and with fair email policies are reviewed here: http://listmailpro.com/forum/index.php?topic=1699.0

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Greetings,

So you do have a commercial web host, but it runs on Windows?  If so, and PHP and MySQL are provided, then ListMail should be able to be installed there. Hands-on installation, however, is normally not free.  If you want to set up a payment plan, ie. $10 for 5 months, I can do that.  Ask me here
