Thanks for becoming an owner. Indeed, as Trevor mentioned, you should not install ListMail on your home computer. While it *is* possible, it's more for developers. Furthermore, sending email through your internet provider's SMTP (outgoing mail) server is generally not allowed, so you would need a domain name (
$2.99/yr) and a commercial web host (
$7.95/mo) which comes with SMTP service.
Having a domain and a host gives you the benefit of sending professional-looking email. For instance emails can come from "Your Newsletter" <news@yourcompany.com>. When you have a hosted domain/site you can also, of course, set up your own email accounts @yourcompany.com for use in Outlook, etc. which makes your personal contact that much more professional.
So my question for you is this: Are you ready to set up your own web site? :-)
