Trouble Importing E-Mail Addresses
« on: November 29, 2005, 01:44:03 pm »
Dear Forum,

I've been trying without success to import some e-mail addresses into ListMail. The file I'm trying to import only has one field - the e-mail address. I've tried saving the file in the various .csv formats that Excel offers as well as a standard notepad text file.

Each time I try to import, the first screen comes up OK, the one where you select the fields. But when I press the "Continue Import" button, all of the e-mail addresses come up as "bad addresses".

Help.

Thanks,

John Clark

Got It Figured Out

Seems that there was a trailing space behind each of my e-mail addresses which made the program see them as errors. Took them out and it imported fine.

Thanks!

Created A New Problem

OK, the import that I did didn't come out correctly so I attemted to restore my original database from the backup that I did just before the import. As soon as I did the restore, I started getting this error :

admin-61-Table 'listmail1.lm_config' doesn't exist

And now i cannot seem to get back in to the program.

Help (again)

Thanks,

John

Just as an FYI, I did the upgrade to the new version just before I started all of this.

Thanks,

John,

This sounds potentially serious.  Please submit your server information at the following URL along with some notes, such as names / locations of backup files, etc.
