CGI Script Timeout when sending to list

I am a new user for listmailpro.

We have a basic newsletter with approximately 26,000 subscribers

The new signups and followups are all working correctly but today we tried to send our first broadcast email and ran into problems.

The messages send very slow and after about 3 minutes the script times out and we get this message...

Sending to server: 200 of 25599.

Average speed: 0.74 per second. 2664 per hour.

HTTP/1.1 502 Gateway Error Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0 Date: Sun, 14 Aug 2005 20:29:28 GMT Connection: close Content-Length: 186 Content-Type: text/html
CGI Timeout
The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process.

Please help..

Resuming the sending will send another 200 messages but it doesn't keep running.

Joe,

It would seem that your hosting is not optimal for ListMail.  You'll need a host that can handle the amount of email you plan to send.  Generally, Linux servers are better suited for mass mail than Windows.

Check out http://listmailpro.com/help/requirements.html for a complete list of recommended requirements.

I am not sure that DreamHost, my recommended partner host, would be optimal for you as your list is a little large.  I generally recommend up to 15-20,000 for use with DreamHost.

You might try www.findmyhost.com to research other hosts. Ones running the (Linux) "cPanel" system are usually ok.

So, is it possible to move an entire listmailpro system to a new host?

Including all the follow-ups, users, logins, etc that have been setup?

Also, I have a mailing that is only 40% finished, how can I move the database and keep track of which users have received this message?

If you do a manual backup all of your data, including unsent messages still in queue, will be saved.
