Hi Dean,

I am trying to do a backup of my Listmail setup (via the backup option in the control panel). I originally got an error telling me I needed to configure the path to the mysql binaries in the config.php file, which I have done.

Now, I don't get the error, however when it verifies the file, it states that the file cannot be found:

Optimizing tables... DONE
Writing backup file... DONE
Verifying backup file... NOT FOUND
=================================

Any suggestions for what is causing this? I need to move hosts so I want to backup everything before I do. Is this backup enough to be able to re-import everything into the database on my new host once I have uploaded the listmail files to the new server?

I recommend you do a manual backup and restore using PhpMyAdmin. This method has the added ability of being able to ZIP your data so it transfers faster.

I'm having a similar issue and would like to continue to use the backup feature you have in ListMail.

Optimizing tables... DONE
Writing backup file... DONE
Verifying backup file... ERROR - MISSING DATA TABLES

That is the error I am getting when I try to back up the database and get the .LM file. There are only about 1,000 records.

Suggestions? I have been able to use the "export users" feature to get the .csv file.

Dean,
I just found the post concerning the fact that the database backups that were created were incomplete.

I'll go to complete a manual backup using PHPMyAdmin, but will there be a fix to get this working properly? It's great since it is easy to use.

The .LM backup files that are created are only 1b.

Don,

As of v1.84 a check to make sure all tables are in the backup file. As of v1.85 the feature was updated to also check the number of users in the file, just in case the mysql dump process quit half way with a very large number of users.

What is your main concern, Don? Is it the incomplete backups or the fact that you can't write a proper backup file at all? (ie. path to MySQL not detected properly, strange backup file size, etc).
