bounce processing error
« on: September 28, 2005, 11:43:12 am »
Dean,
I've moved (actually exported and imported, leaving the original list alone) some users from list 5 to list 16.

After I send out a note to list 16, when there is a bounce, they get put on the bounce list for list 5 -- but not 16.

Seems like a bug--I have to manually delete/bounce folks from list 16!

Thanks,
Terri Z

Terri,

Are you sure this is not a result of the bounce setting?  When you import an address to a new list, their bounce settings for that list will be reset to 0.  Therefore, it will take 3 (if that's your setting) additional bounces to have the user removed from the new list.

If users are never removed, even after many mailings, this would be unexpected behaviour.

Ahhh. I didn't know about the bounce reset.

Thanks,
