can listmail pop?
« on: September 10, 2006, 01:27:40 pm »
Hi All,
Is it possible to set up the following with ListMail:

User sends a blank email to an_email@domain.xxx with "sign me up" in the title, ListMail POP`s the emails for an_email@domain.xxx with title "sign me up" and adds them to a particular list.

Most hosting accounts have some kind of autoresponder functionality though it's usually limited to plain text and there is no kind of email/name logging and besides, it'd be nice to have everything in one place.

Is that possible or something similar?

Cheers.

Instead of using a POP mailbox and timer ListMail features instant subscription by email.  The process is detailed in the following help page(s):

http://listmailpro.com/help/cgi.html

Note the subsections of this page where you can find server-specific information about setting up the appropriate email forwarders.  For best results, if your host is not listed, you may want to ask your host if this is possible on their servers.
