Brand new-no webpage but want to send emails

Hi,
 I'm brand new to this and need help. I don't have a website. But I still want to send e-mails out to prospects from my lists. Can I do this?

And if so, what is the best way to start?

Under normal circumstances you must have a domain name and commercial web host in order to run ListMail.  A domain name is $7/yr from 1&1 and web hosting for lists under several thousand can be found for about $10/mo (DreamHost,H4P.)  Installing ListMail on your home/work computer is more for hardcore developers - it's not advisable and not supported.

Where do you get your email addresses? The above shared hosts will not be usable if you do not run 100% double opt-in lists..  That is, you should be collecting subscribers who choose to receive your information at your web site via a ListMail 'Signup Form'.

If you tell me more about who, what and how many you will be emailing I can better recommend a suitable host or other course of action.

I have a website actually through godaddy, but it has nothing to do with this venture.  I am getting my names from a list house that provides opt in prospects. I have thousands available, and my regular isp provider will not let me send lots of emails.

I am participating in a company that is exploding and I have a sign up website provided by the company, but I'm so new to this, just not sure what to do. Since you said not to put mailer on my computer, I paid $195 for the listpro, so what do i do now.

ListMail should be installed on and send email through your domain / web host.  If you do not have a web host capable of running 'PHP scripts' and also sporting a MySQL database you will need to obtain one for as low as mentioned last message.  Your host should be aware of your desires to send emails and allow the number of emails you wish to send.
