Newbie needs help...
« on: February 23, 2007, 03:14:35 pm »
Hi all

I have never used an autoresponder before so please be patient with my obvious questions: :?

Is there an idiot guides (videos)for complete newbies on how to use LMP.

Can I use LMP for different domain name email campaigns.
(at present it is set up on a .co.uk domain and I wish to use it for a .com website hosted elsewhere.)

If possible how is this done.

Any help appreciated

Many Thanks

There are unfortunately no guides other than the Online Help available for ListMail at this time.  You mentioning this really makes me think about the future of ListMail's help system, however.  I hope to be able to provide foolproof documentation and FAQ for even the most novice users in the future.

You can install ListMail on more than one of your sites.  The process is fairly technical, however, and is as described in the Online Help.  I can assist for free through this forum, but for hands-on assistance you would be required to visit Tech Support.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

In the admin page where it says:

Full path (URL) to ListMail Files

Can I simply change the domain name if needed?

Thanks

Yes, however the ListMail path should match the exact location where ListMail is uploaded to your host and accessible through your site.  ie. http://example.com/mail if your site is (and hosting is for) example.com and you have uploaded the files to the /mail sub-folder of your base public web folder.
