Hi,

I have a problem on my website, that no error message is returned when the sign-up form firstname box is left blank.

Have tried a tick in first name field check box and pressed regenerate code, then entered just an email address but no first name, press 'subscribe me' button, no error message is returned, just the confirmation message with no firstname, and an email confirmation request is sent to the address entered. What have I done wrong?
I have altered the html quite a bit so maybe that is causing it. Can the original settings be restored easily?

Thanks steve

Steve,

What you need to is make sure "First Name" is checked under "Required Fields" on the "List Settings" page.  Next, check the "List Settings" -> "Errors" page set up for your list to make sure there is a "First name required" error message.
