Set ''cronjob" via windows, but didn't send report

Hey General Support, How-To...

Its alton sanders,.,

I researched "listmail forum" yesterday after I finished a live scripture chat
online with one of my "web host" representative. Anyway, (I picked up
some helpful tips for setting up windows cron job in "listmail forum").
My host representative and I address the issue of assigning a password
to their webhosting cron feature.
I asked is cron password set by default with the same member account password?
The representative answer was, cron do not need a password to schedule
it to perform a daily mail report.

However, we were being tutored
like "listmail" interactively runs on our website server.
I had learned to believe that use the same password
assigned to host "cronjob" in the "listmail dailymail" password field
or else "listmail" can't run a scheduled task.

Here is a sketch of what my host cron inside look like:

TT Parameter Value
 Login nfacnews WebShell (HtProtect)
 Password
Quota 3 MB used out of 400000 MB in unlimited files
Transfer FTP 1.3 MB used (since Feb 10, 2007)
 Group nfacnews
 Home Directory /hsphere/local/home/nfacnews
 Host Name web178.ixwebhosting.com
 Crontab:
 FTP sub-accounts.

Never-the-less, although I was successfut yesterdy setting up a
windows scheduled task using windows on my computer.
Next is a sketch of the "scheduled task" setting I configured:

Name:  Auto-Grabber    -   Schedule:  At 8:15 AM every day  -  Next Run Time:  8:15 AM -
Last Run Time:  Never  -  Status:  none  -  Last Result:  0x0  -   Creator:  blar, blar, blar

Here I will "Quote" LM: online HELP:

"Where it originally said "c:\winnt\wget.exe", enter":

"c:\winnt\wget.exe -T 0 -q -O c:\mycron.txt http://example.com/mail/dailymail.php?pw=YourDailyPass"

End of LM: HELP "Quote":

I modified the command and here the results:->

c:\winnt\wget.exe -T 0 -q -O c:\mycron.txt http://nfacnewsletter.com/mail/dailymail.php?pw=**********

If that piece of information is acquit, does it mean windows "Schedule Tasks" are configured properly.
But, then if "listmail dailymail" does not run at the next schedule. will that mean that "listmail"
isn't connecting with the web server?  My web host account actually support "crontab"
password fields. The host points it out that the "crontab" password can be different from
member login password.

Will you address this issue for me?

Best regards,

alton sanders

P.s. Can yall interpret this information thats printed on a dialog  box that
prompts asking to set password:

"Quote"   "An error has occurred while attempting to set task account information.
              The specific error is:
              0x80070005: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to perform the requested     operation".

Hi Alton,

In order for you to set up the task as you described the program c:\winnt\wget.exe must exist.  That means you must install the utility and copy it to that folder, or specify the correct folder such as c:\windows\wget.exe, where you have it installed as mentioned in the help:

http://www.listmailpro.com/help/dailymail_local.html

You can test if this program works as expected by opening a command prompt (Start -> Run -> "cmd" or "command") and doing this:

cd \winnt (or cd \windows)
wget

If all is well it should error out with "missing URL" or similar, because we didn't give it a URL to request.

Windows may require a username and password for running the scheduled task.  Here you should enter the username and password you use to login to Windows on your local computer.

I unfortunately am not familiar with your web host's configuration.  You are right that you need to match up the Dailymail password to the password provided to the cron task dailymail URL.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!
