Custom HTML Issue
« on: October 22, 2006, 07:13:07 pm »
This exact question was posted in an earlier thread, but the person posting it answered their own question without posting what that answer was, so..

When I try and create custom HTML for a specific list, the actual lists always revert back to N/A, I have followed exactly what is in the help file, I've created multiple custom html templates. but I see no way to use different ones on each list, as the lists are not accessable from the list settings when I click on custom HTML

what am I missing here?  something obvious I hope

Hi Dave,

You should be able to choose between your saved Custom HTML sets on the "List Settings" page for each list.  In the top section there's a dropdown for "Custom HTML" where you can choose the desired template for that list.  Don't forget to click "Save List", too. :D

Hi Dean

here's the problem I'm having,

I''ve created 2 custom html templates for signup confirm. I've saved them.

I then go to say list 3, then list settings, click custom HTML at the top, the drop down box is there, but the current list drop down box switches from list 3 to N/A, none of the lists are present, if, for example, I click custom fields on the list settings for list 3, the current list dropdown keeps all the available lists there. I stil don't see how to make it save the custom template for a specific list, when that list is no longer shown in the current list dropdown box

Dave,

Sorry about the confusion.  Clicking "Custom HTML" will load the Custom HTML editing pages but default to editing the one chosen for the current list...
