I am running on a VPS server hosted by Apollo hosting. I'm using the sendmail option. I have recently upgraded to a new server and now my mailings are locking up the server. After sending a few hundred emails, the server shuts down. Here are a couple of errors from the system log:
Oct 3 20:01:23 prayercentral sendmail[21486]: j940rLuA021484: SYSERR(UID0): queueup: cannot create queue temp file ./tfj940rLuA021484, uid=0: Too many open files in system
Oct 3 20:01:37 prayercentral sendmail[21876]: j940rWZZ021576: SYSERR(UID0): db_map_open: cannot pre-open database /etc/aliases.db: Too many open files in system
It's possible that some settings on my new server are not the same as my old one. Would the number of clients be an issue? The current number is 10, but I seem to remember my old server being 99.
I have access to a number os server settings, I just don't know what might fix this.
