What is a "bad file descriptor?"

Hi all,

I finally worked with aol and removed all of my spam filters. After that I got a newsletter returned via Mailer Deamon saying it couldn't go to an aol address because it has a "bad file descriptor" and that they would try for 5 days. What does that mean and how do I correct it? It might be the clue as to why my newsletters aren't being delivered to aol subscribers.

The LM help file says:
 
Admin Email Address - This should be @yourdomain.com
 
We have it set to crystarot@aol.com
 
Should we change it to rallen@thecrystaltarot.com ? Which was what I had orginally and wasn't being redirected by my host.

I am not sure about this "Bad file descriptor" message from AOL but am curious as to what it means.  Have you made any progress on this?

If you do not have bounce enabled it is recommended that your Admin email be one on the same domain ListMail is running from.  If bounce is enabled this needs to be true for the "Bounce to address".

This is because some hosts stop email from going out if your bounce address is not on the sending server.  This is sometimes also true of the "Send from Email" for each list.

Len must have gone through this. Last night I did receive the daily report again. I set two of the issues to be sent to my other screennames tonight, so I'll see if they get received. Also aol.
