Hello Dean,

I have searched the forum about "throttle" and I am still in the dark as to what I can do until an STMP throttle is implemented in ListMailPro?

It there any way of queuing mails output from ListMail, or staging the output of the internal queue to meet the requirments of a service provider?

For example, David Vallieres suggested a good shared hosting service, but they request a maximum of 25 mails per minute. This is fine for me, it means I can send 36000 mails per day, which meets my needs, and I still get to use a good US based priovider with sympathy for email marketing.

It's better thatn it looks, considering that their limit is per domain, and my basic reseller account would allow up to 50 domains ... ;-)

However, I don't want to fight city hall! What to do?

Until I implement SMTP throttling I recommend using the other mailing method 'Internal PHP mail'. With this method you can put in the delays your host requires.

This works fine. What is the problem with this method, ie. why are peole interested in the throttle for SMTP?

SMTP is more reliable overall and I often recommend it over PHP mail() However, for reasonable lists, and especially with the proper delays, PHP mail() should work fine. Please let me know if you have any troubles or any more questions!
