Errors and failed mailings
« on: April 19, 2006, 10:22:59 am »
Hi all,

Everytime I email to one of my lists, I get this error every 500-1000 emails:
Quote

Please wait while email is queued to send... Done!

Connecting to SMTP server... Connected!
Delaying.. Please wait..
If your mailing stops for any reason you can simply and safely sending.

Sending to server:  of 2117.

Average speed: per second. per hour.

Sending error. Check your mail settings.

I just sent out a mailing and got this after clicking resume:

This mailing appears to be in the process of sending and seems to be failing. It has responded within 1 minute (58 seconds ago).

You may continue to try to this mailing but won't be able to until it fails for 1 minute.

It is not recommended that you cancel this mailing as messages could be sent to only part of your list.

"Server said:" is always blank.

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?

I'm on cpanel/exim...

Thanks!
Erik

Erik,

For protection, you must now wait 1 minute before resuming a failed mailing.

If you use Resume are you able to deliver the remainder of your messages, or do the interruptions prevent your mailing from ever being completed?

I am able to complete the mailing.... :-)

Why do I keep getting this error?  I just completed a mailing, and it seems to happen once every 1000 messages.

Is there some exim setting I can change?

Maybe there should be an auto-resume option?

Thanks!
Erik

With CPanel I believe the default maximum number of messages per connection to SMTP is 1000.  Try setting the "Reconnect Every X Emails" option on the ListMail Config page to 1000.

Auto-resume is a feature in a recent update - here's the help page:
http://listmailpro.com/help/autoresume.html

A complete list of recent changes can be viewed here.

Please let me know if you require further assistance :D
