Getting set up
« on: July 23, 2008, 09:06:33 am »
Apologies in advance for the rudimentary nature of the following:
1) I have bought listmailpro but only have a basic website: can the listmailpro team set up a form on my site which will capture name and email of visitors or do I have to do that myself before I can install?
2) I have just found out my webhost cannot support listmailpro- can the team set me up with another host- if so, what will be the cost?
3) I want to offer a free report in exchange for visitors details- can this be done via listmailpro?

Usually the software is installed and then you set up the signup form.  A very basic one can be generated from within ListMail on the List Settings -> Signup Code page.

If you purchased a full installation recently I am willing to perform another installation for you free of charge.  Recommended hosts are mentioned here or if you run highly professional (never purchased or 'obtained') lists I can consider you for invite-only hosting on one of my own servers.

Sure it can.  Your report can be delivered on the "Signup success" custom HTML page (customized via the Custom HTML feature at List Settings -> Custom HTML) and/or you can simply provide a link to your download in the lists "Welcome" email (List Settings) page.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Dear Dean
Thank you for your swift and informative response. I am interested in changing from my webhost to Thirdsphere and for you to carry out the necessary set up of Listmailpro ( I haven't paid yet for this to be set up). However, before you do so, just one more question: Once the programme is set up on my site, can I transfer it to another site if I decide at a later date to revamp my website under a new address?
Thank you in advance.

Greetings,

Yes your existing installation can be moved between hosts and we do allow installation of ListMail on more than one of your own web sites at this time.  If/when we implement site licensing we will compensate current owners generously with up to 5 licenses

Dear Dean
I have finally managed to get my domain name redirected to Thirdsphere and transfer my files. Can you let me know when you'll be installing ListmailPro? Please see my support ticket.

Hello,

I signed up to have listmailPro installed on my website last week.  Can you tell me how it is progressing and give me an estimate on when it will be completed?

Thank you,

Sarah, your request went unverified and needed to be looked at manually :(  I've been in some trouble but I should return to normal soon - sorry about that!
