Help~ Follow ups Stop at sequence #9
« on: June 25, 2005, 06:28:46 am »
When click to add more follow ups, i add the new follow ups message at the end of the list.

When add, i also tick the
"Update all users on this followup to new delay"

But it seems to have error. All of my subscriber that long time ago already at the User Sequence #9, until now still at #9. (it should be change to >9 already, cos I already add many new followups at the end of the list)

My subscriber doesn't receive further followups that i add into the list.

Help!!

What delay did you set on the new followup?  If you set a lengthy delay, and used the option "Update all users on this Seq # to new delay", it will take some time before your users receive the new followup.  A delay of "2", for example, would result in a 3 day delay.  Could this be what happened?  What delay do some of your users on followup seq #9 currently have?

The sequence i set at Follow ups is :

seq#9: Delay #3
seq#10:Delay #2
seq#11:Delay #2
seq#12:Delay #2
seq#13:Delay #3

The sequence currently at User Database:
User's Seq #9     User's Delay #3

All stop here, its already over the delay that i set at FollowUps.

I also have just reconfirm with the host, they say their cron task is working fine.

So, I don't know what happen, help!!!

Can you confirm that your other followups are still going out fine?  Do you know a specific user who is/was on Seq #9?  What is their Seq/Delay now, a few days later - still 9 and 3, respectively?

Does followup #9 have both a subject and a text message?  These are required.  If it's an HTML message, does it also have a text message?

hmm... the DailyMail Report back to normal already.
It seems that this is the problem with the host there.

Besides that I have a question here:

If I want to send message A at day 1, then the delay is :0?

If I want to send another message(B) at 3 days after message A, then the delay is :2?

If I want to send another message(C) at 8 days after message B, then the delay is :7?

Hope nothing wrong with my understanding...

Yes, I believe you have it right.  A Delay of 0 means "next dailymail".  Therefore, a followup set to Seq 1 Delay 0 will be sent between 1 second and 23h:59:59 seconds after the welcome message.  A delay of 1 results in dailymail being skipped once.
