« on: December 31, 2005, 04:27:00 am »
Hi Dean is there any way for me to provide a link that people can click on should they want to delete their name from my listmail list?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes, of course!  What you're looking for is a "Message Code" of the type "Remove Link".

There is usually a default code !remove set up under "Message Codes" -> "Global Codes".  You can customize how the code works by clicking "Edit" next to it.

Thanks for that Dean, I am embarrased to say I just got around to fixing that up and realise I have been wasting time with manual removes for too long. I should have know your software would have handled that easily and even a dummy like me could have set it up.
One more question though is there a similar easy way to handle bounced emails and remove them from the list as I notice there was no message codes for bounced. I assume I would have to return the bounced emails to a certain address where they could be deleted.
Thanks again,
Steve

Steve,

I apologize for the delay with this one.  You do not need a message code to process bounces.  If I did your install (I believe I did, and probably host you, too:)) These should be being processed.  Users will be removed (set to status "Bouncing") for bouncing when the bounce threshold set on the ListMail Configuration page is reached.
