"Forward to" email address problem
« on: February 16, 2008, 10:19:49 am »
Please help.
In the installation directions for setting up a forward to address in C Panel, it asks:
/home/username/public_html/cgi-bin/bounce.cgi
Replace username with your site username.

By "username" is it referring to Database username, FTP username, first part of e mail address before @, or what?!

I have tried many combinations, but always get the error message: "invalid" e mail address

I have discussed this with the tech support of my domain and they say it is not possible to forward to a URL as opposed to an e mail address.

What to do? Please help!

This should be your cPanel/FTP username - we are basically forwarding email to a file on your web site, so we must access your home folder which is based on the cPanel/FTP username.
