Setting up permissions
« on: February 13, 2008, 03:27:44 pm »
I am trying to set up my new purchase of listmail pro. It says to:

"You must set or CHMOD permissions on the /attach/ directory to 777 or read, write, & execute access for all users. This is to allow easy upload and attaching via the attachment popup. If you don't do this, you will need to upload your attachments manually"

Problem is, I cannot find anywhere to set permissions or CHMOD. I cannot find an /attach/ directory.

I use Dreamweaver to make changes to my website.
Please help anyone?

Thanks,Scott

Hi Scott,

The ListMail zip contains the "attach" folder mentioned in the help.  You should upload everything contained in the zip to a sub-folder on your web site, such as /mail.  That means the folder will actually be /mail/attach.  I don't think DreamWeaver supports changing file permissions on the remote server, however.  For that you may need a standard FTP client:
